Can you tell us a bit about your background, education, and how you got into marketing?
I am a graduate of the prestigious University of Lagos, where I earned a degree in Applied Physics. Funny, right? Lol, yeah. However, I began exploring the world of tech in my final year. My roommates were systems engineers, and they often discussed data science and analysis, which piqued my interest. I started learning from them and then enrolled in a Microsoft 6-month course, where I discovered various applications of data analysis and science in tech.
My first role was at a tech firm as a data scientist/analyst. I worked with the marketing team as an analyst, which sparked my interest in the field of marketing.

How do you define growth marketing?
Simply an approach to drive scalability and advancement for businesses by optimizing every stage of their customer journey. It is heavily data-dependent and integrates efforts across channels.
What are your key areas of expertise within marketing?
Growth Marketing, Performance Marketing, Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Event Marketing, Lead Generation.
Which marketing channels do you prioritize, and have you found to be effective?
For me, I believe the effectiveness of marketing channels can vary based on the industry, target audience, and specific goals of a campaign. So it's never really cast in stone. Not one size fits all.

I watch a lot of movies. A LOT of movies! I am currently working on pushing my first movie.
What advice would you give to someone starting their career in growth marketing?
Be deeply invested in research. Sometimes, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel. Research and learn from others.
