Marketing-Led Growth
Founders' insights on the marketing strategies behind their product, market, GTM success, and business growth—because every GTM motion needs marketing.
We are excited to introduce a new sub-publication: "Marketing-Led Growth", a series of in-depth interviews with founders, focusing on how marketing serves as the driving force behind their business growth.
What to Expect
We will talk about the company’s product or service offering, target market, business model (B2B, B2C, SaaS, etc.), and industry. We explore their growth strategy, go-to-market (GTM) motion, key growth channels, and growth levers that have been crucial to their success.
An unpopular opinion we hold at Marketing In Action is that no GTM motion—whether it’s Product-Led, Sales-Led, or a Hybrid approach—can be truly effective without marketing at its core. Marketing often doesn’t get the recognition it deserves for its role in the entire customer journey, so we thought it only right to give marketing its flowers.
Marketing-Led Growth
While Product-Led Growth (PLG) has become a buzzword, Marketing-Led Growth emphasizes that marketing is indispensable in driving traction and scaling a business. Even in PLG models, marketing collaborates with product teams, sales, customer success, and support to create the best possible customer experience and drive sustainable growth. Marketing achieves this by crafting messaging, creative strategies, and delivering 1-to-many communication throughout every stage of the funnel.
Building Benchmarks and Resources
Each interview will not only provide personal insights but also contribute to a broader goal—aggregating first-hand data to build benchmarks in major areas of marketing. This includes:
Marketing Reports: So you can benchmark your efforts against other B2B, B2C, and SaaS companies to gauge your performance.
Hiring and Execution: Obtain actionable data and strategies on how to hire the right kind of marketer to execute marketing plans that drive sustainable growth.
It Takes a Village
We will be interviewing a few founders in the coming weeks. If you have a recommendation for who we should be speaking to, or who you would like to see in this interview series, reply to this email with their names, their companies, and how we can reach them (LinkedIn, Email, Phone, Home address 🙂).
We started this newsletter to share practical marketing examples, templates, and frameworks to tilt the odds better in your favor.
We’re building a village of 1,000+ marketers and founders who want to increase their odds of succeeding at marketing. You’re one of us.
